Bamboo Fiber
Bamboo is highly sustainable crop as it does not claim farming land, grows very fast and needs minimal care. It is a much better CO2 extractor and oxygen emitter than trees, and all bamboo products are completely biodegradable and recyclable.

Hemp Fiber
Hemp grows extremely fast in any kind of climate. It does not exhaust the soil, uses little water, and requires no pesticides or herbicides. Dense planting leaves little space for light, hence few chances for weeds to grow.
Its skin is tough and insect resistant, and this is why often hemp is used as a rotation crop. Its fiber and oil can be used in making clothes, papers, building material, food, skin care products and even biofuels. No wonder it’s considered by many as the most versatile and sustainable plant on earth.
Both industrial hemp and flax plants are regarded as “golden fibers”, not just for their natural golden color fibers, but more importantly, for their great properties. Their fibers are considered the strongest known to mankind next to silk.
With high moisture absorbency, high heat conductivity, and excellent abrasion resistance, they can be made into beautiful, comfortable and long lasting clothes. The more you wash them, the softer they get. They age gracefully. Blended with other natural fibers, their applications become almost endless.
Organic Cotton Fiber
Organic cotton is an ecologically responsible and green fiber. Unlike conventional cotton, which uses more chemicals than any other crop, it is never genetically modified and does not use any highly polluting agro-chemicals such as those found in pesticides, herbicides and many fertilizers. Integrated soil and pest management techniques—such as crop rotation and introducing natural predators of cotton pests—are practiced in organic cotton cultivation.
All organic cotton growers must have their cotton fiber certified according to governmental organic farming standards, such as those of the National Organic Program of the USDA or the EEC’s Organic Regulation. Each year, both land and crops must be inspected and certified by internationally reputable certifying bodies.
The organic fibers used in our fabrics are certified by IMO, Control Union, or Ecocert, to name a few. Many of our fabrics are also certified to Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) by these approved certification bodies. We offer solid tracking records and clear traceability on each lot we receive or ship.
Organic Linen Fiber
Linen fabrics are made with flax fibers. You can find flax fiber’s excellent properties in the hemp fiber info section. While growing flax is far more sustainable and causes less pollution than conventional cotton, herbicides have been commonly used in conventional cultivation as flax is not very competitive with weeds. Organic practices choose methods of developing better and stronger seeds, manual weeding and rotating crops to minimize weeds and potential disease.
What can create pollution in flax processing is the water retting. Retting is an enzymatic process of rotting away the inner stalk of flax, thus separating the fiber from the stalk. The traditional way of water retting is done in manmade water pools, or in rivers or ponds. During this natural degumming process, butyric acid, methane and hydrogen sulfide are created with a strong rotten smell. If the water is released into nature without treatment, it causes water pollution.
Our fabrics use from suppliers with the organic flax grown is fully certified. At their factory, they’ve created an artificial dew retting environment to facilitate the degumming process to develop naturally. The whole practice is labor intensive but as a result, no waste water is accumulated or released into nature.
Silk & Wool Fibers
These two again are two natural, renewable and biodegradable protein fibers. Both are strong yet soft, with temperature-regulating properties which make them excellent natural insulators in different environments. They can be made into fine and elegant fabrics on their own or blended with other natural fibers for a more exotic and textured feel.
The silk in our blends comes from the unwound fiber of mulberry silkworm cocoons. Its illuminated luster has been seductive to humankind for centuries and silk has never lost its luxurious appeal, either for garments or for home furnishings. Our wool fibers are from shorn sheep in Australia and China. Products made with wool are naturally breathable, wrinkle-resistant, and retain shape extremely well.
